Blue Milk and Other Short Stories (2023), exhibited in the Fosdick-Nelson Gallery at Alfred University, engages a form of world-building through alternate history. Blue Milk is an invented product within an invented system, shaped by references to techelet, the golden calf, Fiddler on the Roof, and the artist’s own fraught relationship with healthcare.
The exhibition presents this constructed world through costumes, tools, and containers, captured through photography, fibers, metal fabrication, and metal casting. Together, these elements operate as artifacts of a system that feels both imagined and familiar.
